Summer Learning

What is the summer slide?

The "summer slide" describes what happens when young minds sit idle for three months. Students who do not read over the summer will lose more than two months of reading achievement. Summer reading loss is cumulative.  We don't want that to happen to our students and have implemented some fun and challenging summer reading projects to keep them engaged over the break.  Please click on the grade below to view a copy of the summer learning assignment.  (The grade you choose will be the grade your student is entering in August 2021.)
