Community Service
When young individuals engage in community service projects, they not only benefit from their volunteer efforts but also acquire valuable experiences and develop commendable character traits. Through these experiences, students gain different perspectives on life, fostering humility and gratitude. At Tipton Christian Academy, we encourage our students and families to perceive service as more than just a duty, but as a fundamental aspect of life.
The expectation of serving others in the Christian life is emphasized in 1 John 3:18-19: “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence.” (NIV)
High School students are required to complete at least 10 hours of community service each year, with expectations that they will have at least 40 hours completed by the time they graduate.
Community service hours can be earned by completing any service type project for which the student is not receiving payment, credit or other compensation. These hours can be in conjunction with service hours completed through TCA's athletic program.

Please note: It is the student's responsibility to keep up with service hours and obtain signatures.
