Journalism at TCA: Students Telling the Story of Our School

Take a look behind the scenes at TCA through our Journalism program, led by Angela Williams. What began as a student‑driven idea has grown into a vibrant, multi‑platform media team that documents the moments, stories, and experiences that make TCA special.
The program was born from the passion of two alumni—Julie Ann Lofton (Class of 2020) and Maggie Criner (Class of 2022). Julie Ann, with her love for videography, launched Eagle Vision, TCA’s student‑produced television news program. Families can still enjoy student‑created news and entertainment by following our YouTube channel. Maggie expanded the program by developing The Eagle Editorial, a monthly print publication designed to keep students informed through feature stories about classmates, staff, and campus life.
Thanks to the support of staff member Mr. Gary Murdock, journalism students also share weekly updates on the radio. Every Monday at 7:30 AM, listeners can catch TCA news on US 51, our local Covington station.
Today, our Journalism students continue this legacy by capturing photos, writing stories, producing videos, and covering school events to keep our community informed and connected. They don’t just report what’s happening—they offer a behind‑the‑scenes look at the heart of TCA, helping viewers feel part of everyday campus life.
Students interested in joining can select Journalism when building their schedule or even participate as guest contributors.
We love seeing our students use their creativity, curiosity, and voice to tell the story of TCA.
