Art at TCA: Creativity with Purpose
Art at TCA is more than a class—it’s a journey of creativity, growth, and purpose. Led by Mrs. Emily, who teaches PreK through 9th grade, our program helps students develop their artistic abilities while encouraging them to use their gifts to glorify God and add beauty to the world.
Students experience a wide range of opportunities, including Fall and Spring Art Shows, collaborative murals, community engagement projects, and independently led work by upper school students. They also explore photography, graphic design, and augmented reality—both in the classroom and through hands‑on field trips to the Covington Square.
With 27 years of professional experience in graphic design, photography, and creative media—including writing, marketing, podcasting, illustrating, and publishing—Mrs. Emily brings real‑world expertise into every lesson. Her passion for discipling students through art shapes the program from preschool through high school.
All 9th grade students complete one semester of Art to earn their fine arts credit, building a strong foundation for creativity in any field they pursue.
At TCA, we believe art is a powerful way for students to express truth, beauty, and faith—and we love watching them grow as creators and image‑bearers of Christ.
