The Tipton Christian Honor Society sets high standards for its members. Eligibile students must be in 6th through 10th grade and are expected to be at the top of their class academically and behaviorally. Members are selected based on their previous year's final grade average. This average must be a 94 or higher. As a member, each student is expected to maintain that grade average each nine weeks. In addition to academic requirements, a student must maintain stellar classroom conduct and behavior. Honor Society students are priveleged to take a fun and educational trip each year. Previous trips have been to New York, Washington, D.C. and Chicago. The purpose of the trips is two-fold: reward students for their commitment to academic success during the school year and to enrich them culturally.
Aside from taking wonderful trips, Honor Society members are required to "give back" to the school through acts of service and mentoring opportunities. Honor Society sponsors Spirit Week in November and co-sponsors Trick-or-Treat Street.
